The invention concerns a decision feedback filter device comprising a direct filter (FF) and a feedback filter (FB) for producing corresponding decisions (d(n)) from input symbols (x(n)), the direct filter (FF) receiving the input symbols as input, and the feedback filter (FB) receiving the decisions (d(n)) as input. The direct filter (FF) filters in the frequency domain blocks of M input symbols, and the feedback filter (FB) filters in the frequency domain blocks of L decisions, L being less than M. A device according to the invention enables interference between symbols caused by the reception of echoes to be rectified.
