Tunnel drying kiln for ceramic mouldings

A tunnel dryer has, at its side and adjoining the drying space, auxiliary air supply systems which include one or more fans and which are connected and locally laterally delimited by air inlet and outlet openings of the drying space. The novelty is that (a) the auxiliary air supply systems (4) are in the form of air circulators, through which an air sub-stream (B) is bled from the main drying air stream (A) through a single air entry opening (6) contiguous with the drying space and is returned to the main drying air stream (A) at a downstream point through a single contiguous outlet opening (7) so that an internal horizontal circulating flow is created in a partial width region of the drying tunnel (1).
