Value transformation circuit in digital imaging system

An ASIC circuit is used for interpolation of two values to form an intermediate value. Support points are stored in a first memory, the support points being chosen based on their input values. The difference between two support points is stored in a second memory. The memories are look up tables. The ASIC circuit includes a data bus which is split into a first data bus for upper bits and a second data bus for lower bits. The second data bus and the support point difference look up table are connected to a multiplication stage. The first look up table and the multiplication stage are connected to an adding stage to from the circuit output signal.
