The diaphragm apparatus includes a meter(4) which is installed in a main body(1) in which a solid image sensor(2) and one lens(2) or more are installed along the same axis; a lever(5) installed at a rotational axis of the meter(4); a guide plate(6) which is installed at a front surface of the main body(1) and which has a couple of guide holes(6a and 6b), each of which is of arc-shape; pins(6 and 6') which are superimposed with each other at the guide plate(6) to be movable with respect to each other; a first and a second light quantity control plates(7 and 8) which have a first light control holes(7a) having a drop-shape and a second light control hole(8a) having a reverse shape of the first light control holes(7a), the first and a second light quantity control plates(7 and 8) which is connected with the lever(5) with the pins(6 and 6') which passes through the guide holes, respectively; and means for reducing a quantity of light in a high luminance.
