The slide works in a vertical guide rail (12), the arm on it being spring-loaded into the extended position. A stop (50) prevents slide movement with the arm extended. In addition, the hinge lock (52) secures the arm in the upright position, and is released only when the stop prevents vertical slide movement. The stop can be arranged to engage at the same time as the lock is released, and vice versa, both being typically actuated by the arm end hinging on the slide. This arm end can have a joint housing hinging on an axis and locking into engagement with the slide when the arm is upright.
