Accumulator for air conditioning unit using orifice principle

The accumulator is fitted to an air conditioning unit which uses the orifice principle, and which is esp. installed in a vehicle. It has an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) for a coolant, and these are connected by a flow path. It also has an insert which contains drying equipment, and which is arranged in the lower inside region of a housing (1). A suction opening (25) is arranged on the flow path between the inlet and the outlet, and is at roughly the same level as one or both of them. It is linked to the volume above the base of the housing via a suction pipe (9), which is roughly vertical when the accumulator is in its installed position.
