<p>A door lock system includes a clutch mechanism (12) for a lockset (14) and has particular applicability in conjunction with lever handles. Two coupling assemblies (50 and 60) are selectively rotatably coupled by a coupling pin (64). One coupling assembly (60) is rotatably coupled to a lockset actuator. The other coupling assembly (50) is rotatably coupled to the exterior door handle (24). A drive assembly (86, 90, 92, 94 and 78) includes a motor (86) which selectively controls the position of the coupling pin (64) to provide for the locking and unlocking functions.</p> |
