Door lock with rotary latch and locking pawl, for motor vehicles

The door lock is fitted to a motor vehicle, and has a rotary latch (1), a locking pawl (3), a release lever (4), and motor-assisted opening and closure actions. A fixed closure motor (7) is aligned with a closure drive (8). The locking pawl, release lever, opening motor (9) and opening drive (10) are arranged on a carousel support (11), which is coaxial to the rotary latch, and which has teeth which mesh with the closure drive. The opening motor and the pawl are arranged eccentrically on the carousel support, and the release lever has teeth (13) which mesh with the opening drive. The closure motor can be activated when the latch is in a position ready for closing, and the opening motor can be activated when the latch is in the closed position.
