The prior art already includes a so-called tank-ventilation valve fitted in the housing of an adsorption filter in a recess. A valve of this kind is complicated to produce, however, and the manufacturing costs can therefore be high. The invention proposes an adsorption filter (6) for a fuel-vapour retention system (1) for the fuel tank (4) of an internal-combustion engine, the filter having a valve (20) connected, by means of a line (21) attached to the valve (20), to an aspiration tube (22) of the engine and also connected, by means of a line (5) attached to the adsorption-filter housing (8), to the fuel tank (4), the valve being held to the adsorption-filter housing (8) by being inserted in an aperture (37) in the housing (8). The adsorption filter proposed is suitable for use in fuel-vapour retention systems, in particular those of spark-ignition mixture-compression engines.
