<p>The pump has a cylindrical tube, in which is a rodless piston body. The piston is made of metal. The piston is moved in either direction by currents through an external coil. The piston and coil form a linear electric motor. At each end of the cylindrical tube are inlet and outlet ports. When the piston moves towards an end, liquid pressure at that end closes the inlet valve and opens the outlet valve. simultaneously, at the suction end, the valves are operated in the opposite manner.</p> |
