Modular functional model

The modular functional model has a modularly assembled delivery system comprising individual delivery modules (1,2) with which an arbitrary delivery path between them can be assembled. The geometric dimensions of the function modules and the delivery modules are designed so that they are always a multiple of an underlying raster base measurement. With several delivery modules combined, a virtual axis is given in space along which a delivery package can be moved and the function modules are designed to be gripped along this axis. The delivery package can be connected to a platform running along the path and containing a matrix of holes. Preferably the delivery modules are coupled to a central drive and each include an electrical interface that is connected to a sensor mechanism, a drive and a stored program control.
