Electric cooker hob temperature control associated with saucepan

A cooking controller has a temperature-dependent electronic guide element(13) with two connecting wires (15) at the lower end of a hollow rod(14). The wires run through the rod, emerging at the top to run to the control unit. The rod length is no less than the saucepan depth. The control unit is for the heat energy applied to the cooker. The rod is held in a mount in the lid of the saucepan or at the edge of the pan, if no lid is present. The mount in the lid uses a grommet (21) of flexible material, like an elastomer. The rod can slide in or out of position, being held in its operative position by certain amount of friction.
