In a walking mower, both a mown grass discharge port (7) and a battery fixing surface (8) are provided in and on a rear deck (6) of a cutter housing (1), and a battery (9) is fixed detachably to the fixing surface (8), this battery (9) being covered with a grass bag (26). This enables a battery to be fixed in a dead space in the grass bag, the external appearance, weight balance, and lawn mowing performance of the mower to be improved.
