The active liquid crystal display includes: a plurality of pixels; a plurality of address buses; a plurality of data buses vertically arranged to the address buses; a first switching means connected among a first address bus, a first data bus, and a display electrode; and a second switching means connected among a second address bus, a second data bus, having a discharge preventive means for preventing a discharge from the display electrode when the second data bus has a defectiveness.
