<p>The invention relates to electrostatically controlled plastics articles, their manufacture and their use. An article according to the invention contains a conductive polymer, and the surface resistivity of its outer surface, expressed in Φ/square, is at minimum one decade higher than volume resistivity of its interior, expressed in Φ-cm. The conductive polymer used may be in particular polyaniline. The invention can be exploited in the manufacture from plastics, for example, of transportation containers or equipment casings in which electrostatic shielding is required.</p> |
