POLYESTER RESIN AND SUBLIMATION TRANSFER IMAGE-RECEIVING MATERIAL PREPARED THEREFROM

A polyester resin containing a graft polymer composed of a main chain comprising a polyester having unsaturated bonds and a side chain comprising a radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer and having a glass transition temperature of 15 DEG C or above and a reduced viscosity of 0.15 to 1.5; and a sublimation transfer image-receiving material having a dyeable layer mainly comprising a dyeable resin containing the above polyester resin. The polyester resin can offer images with high sensitivity without the use of a plasticizer and an additive, thus rendering it suitable as a dyeable resin for a sublimation transfer image-receiving material. Images formed from the sublimation transfer image-receiving material having the dyeable layer containing such a polyester resin possesses excellent durability and storage stability.
