Plant cleaning waste gases by solids contacting in recirculated fluidised bed

This waste gas cleaning unit includes a recirculating fluidised bed vessel (1) through which flue gases pass. A gas recirculation duct connects the vessel with chambers of a fabric filtration unit. This is combined with a solids bunker both buffering and recirculating solids to the fluidised bed vessel. In this original design, the filter chambers (13) are oblong and their long sides are mutually adjacent. A gas duct (12) connects with the filter chambers. The solids bunker (14) forms both the buffer and the filter chamber base (15), which falls away towards the base of the fluidised bed, for direct recirculation of solids. Also claimed is the procedure for operating the plant.
