Terry loom eliminates terry warp yarn cordlets by tension compensation

A terry loom has a warp beam, a deflecting beam for the terry warp threads and a terry warp tensioning agent which swivels around an axis and is pre-tensioned to produce the required length of terry warp thread to form a loop. There is a deflecting bar (22) for the terry warp threads which is coupled to and, in the thread run B, placed ahead of the tensioning agent (16) so that a deflecting point (23) for the terry warp threads is formed facing the axis of rotation (18) of the tensioning agent in order to compensate the relaxation of tension emerging during formation of a loop.
