<p>A video signal distribution system (2) including video signal provider equipment (4) for providing video signals to at least one local exchange (6) of a telecommunications network. The local exchange (6) includes a multicast video switch (8) for receiving the video signals and a plurality of ADSL exchange units (12) for transmitting video signals to a plurality of respective ADSL customer units (16). The video switch (8) multicasts the video signals to the exchange units (12) for transmission to the customer units (16). The video signals provided to an exchange unit (12) can be selected by the video switch (8) on the basis of control data received from the customer unit (16) by the exchange units (12).</p> |
