T-configuration optical fibre coupling device

The coupling device has 3 gates arranged in a T-configuration, with a beam splitter inserted in the in-line light coupling path between 2 of the gates, for deflecting light through an angle of 90 degrees to the third gate. The optical fibres (L1,L2) positioned at the in-line gates are located in a V- groove in the surface of a carrier plate, with a light splitting wedge having at least one reflective surface positioned between them.
