Edge strip in which the second L-shank (4) is lengthened downwards beyond the L-bar (3) to form a drip nose (13) with a decreasing thickness and a semi-circular cross section. The contact surface (14) of the bar (3) runs at an angle of preferably 91 degrees to the first shank (1), with openings (16) above the level of the contact surface.
