<p>The invention concerns a housing (1) of a gas instrument which comprises a connecting branch (2) for the gas supply line (6). In athe connecting branch (2), there is a stop valve (9), the valve closing cone (12) of which is under the influence of a spring element (10) and is held in the open position by a melting substance (11). The temperature resistance of the housing is limited to 400 °C, by comparison with which the connecting branch (2) together with the locking valve (9) withstands the long-term influence of an ambient temperature of at least 500 °C. Because of its low temperature resistance, the housing can be made economically, while the desired safety in the event of a fire is achieved solely by the stop valve which consists of a material resistant to high temperatures, and which is integrated in the connecting branch.</p> |
