A process is disclosed for producing propene/but-1-ene copolymers in which the molar ratio between propene and but-1-ene lies in a range from 10,000:1 to 4:1. Polymerisation is continuously carried out at temperatures in a range from 50 to 120 DEG C. Systems that contain as active components (A) metallocene complexes; (B) a metallocene ion-generating compound; and optionally (C) an aluminium compound, are used as catalyst systems.
