1,079,915. Valves. H. TEVES, E. A. TEVES, and M. TAUSEND, [trading as ALFRED TEVES MASCHINEN UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMM.-GES.]. Oct. 1, 1964 [Nov. 27, 1963], No. 39973/64. Heading F2V. A valve has an element 2 which in a first position connects a pressure medium source 5 to a working cylinder connection 6 and in a second position connects the working cylinder to a reservoir connection 7, the element being connected to a piston 4 one face 21 of which is subjected to force from pressure medium from the working cylinder, when same is connected to the reservoir, and the other face 20 of which is subjected to pressure from the source 5, the element being moved from one position to the other by a magnet 3 through means 18 to move the element 2 on to valve seats of identical crosssection. If the area of the face 20 is equal to that of the valve seat, a force equal to the product of the reservoir pressure and the crosssectional area of the rod 18 has to be produced by the magnet. The area of the face may, however, be either more or less than that of the seat.
|
