<p>The procedure for determining the orientation of a solid object, such as a helicopter pilot's helmet, within a given space includes providing both the examined object (1) and a second reference object (2) with several sets of optical sources and detectors. This enables the definition of at least two straight direction vectors (u,v) joining pairs of sources (Smi, Sfj), the first relating to the examined object (1) and the second relating to the reference object. The method includes use of a processing procedure for determining the orientation of the examined solid w.r.t. the reference solid by consideration of the direction vectors (u, v).</p> |
