A pair of thermoelastic synthetic resin sheets 1, 2 are clamped around their periphery between a frame-shaped spacer 3 and upper and lower clampers 4, 4, respectively, so as to form a closed space 5 between the sheets 1, 2. The spacer 3 has sealing pads S1 each attached to upper and lower surfaces of the spacer, respectively. The sheets 1, 2 are heated so as to soften the sheets, and then clamped, inside of the spacer 3 and clampers 4, 4, by upper and lower forming dies 8, 9. Then, a compressed air introducing nozzle 10 provided in the upper forming die 8 is moved downward so that the leading end of the nozzle 10 penetrates the upper sheet 1 and is positioned between the upper and lower sheets 1, 2. Then, compressed air is introduced into the closed space 5 through the nozzle 10 so as to press both of the sheets 1, 2 against the corresponding inner cavity surfaces of the forming dies 8, 9. <IMAGE> <IMAGE> |
