PURPOSE:To efficiently produce high-quality ptisan without excessively scorching the surface of raw material barley, by mixing spherical ceramic particles with the barley and carrying out roasting of the barley in a mixed state. CONSTITUTION:Raw material barley is mixed with substantially spherical ceramic particles consisting of a single substance selected from the group consisting of alumina, mullite, cordierite, zirconia, silicon carbide and silicon nitride based substances or a mixture of two or more kinds thereof in an amount of about 2-10vol., preferably about 2-5vol. based on one vol. raw material barley to carry out roasting of the barley in the state of the mixture. |
