A display apparatus has frame 2 receiving an insert 10, such as a photograph, in a slot between window portion 6 and backing 4. A sheet 3 of flexible material, forming a hanger has a fixed portion (11) bonded to backing 4 and a free portion (12) defining an aperture (15) for hook 16. Alternative display apparatus (50) (Figure 9) additionally includes a connector (57) on the hanger allowing a support leg (54) to be engaged in a connector socket when it is required to stand the frame on a supporting surface. The apparatus provides a simple and convenient means of displaying photographs in a hanging or standing configuration.
