Method of manufacturing transparent substrates coated with a stack of thin layers having reflective properties for infrared and/or solar radiation

Glass or plastic substrate is coated with at least one metallic layer, pref. Ag, which afford it anti-infra red and -solar properties. This layer is itself protected by at least a top coating and pref. also a bottom coating of material having oxygen fixing properties. The operative metallic coating is produced by sputtering in an oxygen-containing atmosphere.
