An anaesthetic apparatus with a dosing unit (16) for an anaesthetic agent is described. The dosing unit (16) comprises a plurality of containers (38A, 38B, 38C, 38D, 38E), each of which holding a liquid anaesthetic agent. The containers (38A, 38B, 38C, 38D, 38E) are connected by liquid lines (42A, 42B, 42C, 42D, 42E) to a valve unit (44), capable of selectively connecting one container (38A, 38B, 38C, 38D, 38E) at a time to a micropump (46) which dispenses anaesthetic in the form of liquid droplets direct to a connection means (14) in the anaesthetic apparatus, to which connection means (14) a patient can be connected. A control unit (18) controls the micropump (46) and valve unit (44) and regulates both the selection and dispensing of liquid anaesthetic. <IMAGE> |
