<p>The shock absorber (14) is fixed to the upper surface of the ski with its longest dimension longitudinal. It has a layer of visco-elastic material (15) which is covered by a plate made of material with a high modulus of elasticity. The plate is an ellipse and its central part has two holes (17) which define a straight longitudinal tongue (18). The tongue is not fixed to the board and is flexible elastically so that it acts like a leaf spring. Its ends are joined to the plate but it does not have a layer of visco-elastic material.</p> |
