PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device which has enough strength against external force, prevents adverse influences by temp. changes and enables fast formation of a color image of high quality, by specifying the outer diameter and the relation between the outer diameter and thickness of a transparent base body of an image carrier. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 10 consists of a transparent plastic cylindrical base body 1 formed by centrifugal polymn. of methyl methacrylate monomers, and a transparent conductive layer 2 and a photoconductive org. photosensitive layer 3 formed on the base body 1. The outer diameterϕ(mm) of the base body 1 satisfies 60<=ϕ<=200 and the thickness t (mm) satisfies 2×10<-2> <=t/ϕ<=10×10<-2> . An exposure device is disposed inside of the photoreceptor drum 10 to expose the drum 10 through the inner wall. Thereby, no influence of scattering due to decrease in transparency of the base body 1 of the photoreceptor drum 10 is caused. Moreover, an out-of-focus image due to thermal expansion of the base body 1 caused by raise in environmental temp. or heat generation of the exposure element, or irregular rotation due to deformation of the drum 10 can be prevented. |
