PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the strength of a water repellent film on the inner peripheral surface of an internally threaded fishing rod. SOLUTION: This internally threaded fishing rod is obtained by knitting an abrasion-resistant wire 5 at±10 and±45 deg. angle to the shaft center of the rod material on the inner peripheral surface of the rod material 4, coating the knitted wire with a resin and forming a repellent film 6. The abrasion- resistant wire and the water repellent film are provided so as to make both nearly flush. Thereby, seawater, etc., is prevented from sticking to the inner surface of the rod with the water repellent film and a fishing line 2 is prevented from damaging the water repellent film with the abrasion-resistant wire.
