IRON-MAKING AND STEELMAKING METHOD UTILIZING ALUMINUM SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable charging of mixture of iron-containing powder and aluminum-containing powder without attaching specially a large scale equipment, in an iron-making and a steelmaking methods utilizing aluminum slag. SOLUTION: Steel scale powder of 500kg is dried and charged into a mixer and a waste oil consisting essentially of heavy oil in an amount of 50kg is added to cover the whole scale with the waste oil. Thereafter, powder of the aluminum slag containing 30% Al in an amount of 500kg is added and mixed. This mixture is attracted with a lifting magnet in a steelmaking plant and lifted up. As a result, the whole mixture of >=400kg is attracted with the magnet and charged into a raw material bucket.
