<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the ozone decomposition rate to a low level while the nitrogen oxide removing efficiency is kept high by separating and removing condensed water which is generated by bringing gaseous ozone into contact with a nitrogen oxide removing agent by a prescribed means. SOLUTION: By a filter 4 arranged in the intermediate part in the height direction, a casing 1 is divided into a nitrogen oxide removing agent-packed part 5 in the upper part and a liquid storing part 6 in the lower part. After gaseous ozone is introduced into the casing 1 from an inflow port 7 and is brought into contact with a nitrogen oxide removing agent 9 to remove nitrogen oxide contained in the gaseous ozone, it is caused to flow out of the casing 1 from an outflow port 8. At this time, water condensed on a nitrate formed on the surface of the nitrogen oxide removing agent 9 is passed through the filter 4 and is made to fall to the liquid storing part 6. The gaseous ozone inflow port 7 and the gaseous ozone outflow port 8 are preferably installed in the side part of the casing 1 and in the ceiling part thereof, respectively. As the nitrogen oxide removing agent, sodium carbonate, calcium carbonate, aluminum and the like are used.</p> |
