PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a conversion process (KANA(Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion process or KANJI mixed KANA-KANJI conversion) only by correcting an input character without performing operation for KANA-KANJI conversion again if a misinputted or misrecognized character has been converted. SOLUTION: On the basis of an in-input frame name stored in an in-input frame name buffer 213 and a recognized character which is stored in an input character string buffer 210 and corresponds to the input frame, a reinput decision process part 204 decides whether or not the character which is being inputted is inputted again and when the reinput is decided, a conversion process part 206 is automatically actuated after a character recognition process part 205 is actuated. Consequently, if the misinputted or misrecognized character has been converted, the need to perform the operation for the conversion process again is eliminated and the KANA-KANJI conversion process or KANJI mixed KANA-KANJI conversion process can be performed only by correcting the input character. |
