PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to bring the contaminated air passing the inside of a device into sure contact with catalyst materials and to prevent the leakage of UV rays outside the device. SOLUTION: This air purifying device has a casing 1 which has an air inflow port 2 and an air outflow port 3, a ventilation fan 5 which takes the outdoor air from this air inflow port 2 into the casing 1 and passes this air toward the air outflow port 3, honeycomb bodies 35, 35 which have many vent holes existing on the air flow path on the casing 1 and a UV lamp L which irradiates the inside of the vent holes with UV rays. The photoexcitation catalyst materials excited by the irradiation with the UV rays are deposited on the inside surfaces of the vent holes of the honeycomb bodies 34, 35. The vent holes are arranged by having an angle with the flow direction of the air. |
