PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner independent of the environment and capable of giving an image faithful to a latent image and having a uniform highlight part even after use over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In this toner contg. fine resin particles and fine inorg. oxide powder, the fine resin particles contain a complex salt compd. in which the vol. (Va) of the anion is larger than the vol. (Vc) of the cation (Va>Vc) and the vol. (Vc) of the cation is >=0.3nm<3> when they are calculated from the structural formula and the coordination part of the anion is a 5- or 6-membered ring.
