INTAKE DEVICE FOR V-TYPE ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for a V-type engine to reduce the occurrence of intake resistance and improve loading properties. SOLUTION: The bank angle of an engine body 1 is 60 deg. and intake ports 4 and 5 are formed in front and rear headers 2 and 3 along respective cylinder axes CLF and CLR. The openings of the intake ports 4 and 5 are formed in the end faces of posts 15 and 16 protruded from the upper surfaces of head covers 10 and 11 and front and rear intake manifolds 8 and 9 are connected in a comparatively high curvature to the bosses 15 and 16. The intake manifolds 8 and 9 are formed in a longitudinal symmetrical shape and extended from a surge tank 7 arranged between the V-banks of the engine 1 and support the surge tank 7.
