CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE EMULSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which an organopolysiloxane emulsion excellent in homogeneity and preservation stability can continuously be mass-produced with a low driving force without keeping the system under a pressure. SOLUTION: An organopolysiloxane emulsion is continuously produced in the following steps (I) and (II): (I) a step for continuously feeding (a) a liquid or a crude rubber-like organopolysiloxane, (b) an emulsifying agent and (c) water to a mixer equipped with a shearing stirring mechanism in the first stage comprising a turbine type rotor having blades obliquely tilted in the radial direction when viewed from the axial direction and a stator and a shearing stirring mechanism in the second stage comprising a turbine type rotor having blades curved into a helical shape from the axial direction and a stator and discharging the organopolysiloxane as an emulsion thereof in water with 10-99wt.% content of the organopolysiloxane and (II) a step for introducing the emulsion obtained in the step (I) and water for dilution into a mixer similar to that in the step (I) and mixing the resultant emulsion with the water.
