The AAL 5 transmission processor of an ATM communication method having an OAM cell processing function is provided with: a length operator (10) repeatedly subtracting forty eight after inputting a length (LI (15..0)) of a message to perform forth eight operation with module; a counter and controller (20) inputting an OAM signal and an output of the length operator (10) to count them according to a start signal and then, generating a FIFO control signal and a multiplexer select signal; a FIFO controller (30) controlling the FIFO according to an output of the counter and controller (20); a trailer generator (40) generating an AAL 5 CPCS trailer; a pad generator (50) generating a pad; and a multiplexer (60) selecting one during FIFO data, pad or trailer according to the output of the counter and controller (20).
