PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain one-dimensional pores having a uniform shape and diameter by anodically oxidizing the outer side of an Al tube, then passing an acidic soln. in the inner side of this Al tube, thereby removing the inner side. SOLUTION: The Al tube which has the prescribed inside diameter and outside diameter and is mounted with a cap consisting of silicone rubber, etc., is immersed into a vessel in which an electrolyte, such as aq. soln. of dilute oxalic acid, is housed. The Al tube of a large diameter is then immersed therein so as to enclose the outer side of the former Al tube. Current is passed to the capped former Al tube as anode and the large-diameter Al tube as cathode and only the outer side of the capped Al tube is anodically oxidized while agitating. The capped Al tube is taken out of the electrolyte after the end of the oxidation and the cap is removed. After the Al tube is washed with water, the acidic soln., such as aq. hydrochloric acid or aq. phosphoric acid soln., is passed in the Al tube to remove the remaining Al and barrier layer. The porous Al2 O3 tube which is formed with the pores perpendicularly to its outer peripheral surface and consists of the anodically oxidized parts one- dimensionally arranged with the uniform diameter is thus obtd. |
