PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately count the number of record data by following up the high speed recording operation. SOLUTION: The number of data for discharging ink by inputting via a signal line SD2 in the forward scanning of a recording head and the number of data for discharging ink by inputting via a signal line SD1 in the backward scanning are counted by a counter 405 in terms of the data to be input via the lines (SD1, SD2) according to clock signals (SCK1, SCK2) to two 128-bit shift registers 404, 404 in a recording head having 256 heaters H1 to H256. |
