PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new enzyme being activated by phosphorylation of the threonine residue and the tyrosine residue in a T E-Y sequence, having a specific amino acid sequence, wound stress induction properties, useful for synthesizing jasmonic acid of plant. SOLUTION: This new MAP kinase is activated by phosphorylation of the threonine residue and the tyrosine residue in a T-E-Y sequence, has an amino acid sequence from the first to the 21st of amino acid sequence of formula and wound stress induction properties and is useful for adjusting the synthesis of jasmonic acid of plant and PR protein. The MAP kinase is obtained by inoculating a tobacco mosaic virus into a ripe leaf of tobacco 50 days after germination, incubating the virus, extracting the whole RNA, isolating an mRNA by a routine procedure to prepare a cDNA library, screening it by using a probe, recovering a DNA from a positive strain, incorporating the DNA into a vector and manifesting it in a host cell. |
