PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method for document preparation which are improved in usability by coloring a predicted character string according to the likelihood of prediction and outputting it by a character string predicting method. SOLUTION: A document preparation support method equipped with an input part 11 which inputs data on characters, functions, etc., a prediction part 12 which predicts a character or function following the input data from the inputted data, a display part 13 which displays the inputted character or function, and prediction result, etc., in a plurality of colors, and an input prediction dictionary 14 performs control so that colors corresponding to the likelihood of prediction are outputted. |
