PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a woven or knitted fabric having good touch feeling, soft touch feeling with peach feeling, with dryness, good stretch and stiffness and color tone with deepness. SOLUTION: A mixed yarn in which a multi-leaf cross-section type conjugate fiber is mixed with a gear cross-section type conjugate fiber is prepared. The former fiber is formed of a fiber body X comprising a polyester-based component A, having cross-section face of >=3 protruded parts and having plural groove parts which continuously exist in the fiber shaft direction in the vicinity of protruded part tops, and a polyester-based component B, having solubility to alkali larger than that of the polyester-based component A packed in the above groove parts. The latter fiber having a gear cross-section is formed of a fiber body Y comprising a polyester-based component A, having a cross-section with <=10 teeth, and the polyester-based component B packed in each recessed part which continuously exists in the fiber shaft direction between the adjacent teeth of the fiber body Y. Cloth obtained by weaving or knitting the mixed yarns is subjected to weight-reducing treatment with an alkali to provide the objective woven fabric having god touch feeling. |
