PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the air-fuel ratio and the ignition timing up to a combustion stable limit without being influenced by dispersion of a combustion pressure detecting value between cylinders, and avoid a variation in combustion pressure in total of the whole cylinders from becoming large by exceeding an allowable level. SOLUTION: Cylinder internal pressure is integrated in a prescribed integrating section with respective cylinders, and a cylinder internal pressure integrated value Pi is found by cylinders (S1), and a variation rateΔPi of the integrated value Pi is calculated by cylinders (S2). In a range where variation pressureΔPi does not exceeds a prescribed value by respective cylinders (S3), the ignition timing is retarded, or the air-fuel ration is leaned (S4). A leaning margin or a retarding margin by cylinders is limited (S6 and 7) by a limiter set on the basis of a variation in combistion pressure in total of the whole cylinders. |
