PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable developing device in which an entire device is miniaturized and thinned without impairing the performance of the entire device. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a developer storage part 2 disposed with a particular amount of space between a drum-like or belt-like image carrier 1, a developer carrying means (carrying passage) 3 for carrying particular developer T from the developer storage part 2 to the image carrier 1, and a developer recovery means (recovery passage) 5, below the carrying part 3, for recovering unnecessary developer T from the image carrier 1 side. The carrying passage 3 is so structured that electrodes 3a for generating an electric field curtain onto the face of the carrying passage 3 are provided inside. A development electrode 4 extending down opposite to the image carrier 1 is provided at the end of the carrying passage 3, on the side of the image carrier 1. |
