PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a virtual conference system in which a conference or a lecture or the like is conducted while being provided with an interface with ease of use and a presence through a common virtual space between plural terminal equipments connected via a communication means such as a network. SOLUTION: In the virtual conference system in which a virtual space estimating a conference room is displayed by changing a visual point, a pattern control section 9 discriminates whether or not characters representing other terminal equipment are displayed on a virtual space screen on a display device 14 and acquires an image displayed on the display device of other terminal equipment via a network 2 when discriminated to be displayed. Then the acquired image is converted into a proper size by a personal image synthesis section and synthesized at a proper position. Then the image of the other terminal equipment is displayed in the virtual space image displayed on the display device 14.
