FORMATION OF LASER CLAD LAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate the occurrence of a failure in turning of a rotary cylinder or a failure in feeding of a welding wire by preventing a guide cable from winding around the rotary cylinder. SOLUTION: A laser cladding device equipped with a laser beam irradiation mechanism A including the rotary cylinder 9 for emitting a laser beam 2 to the inner peripheral surface 1a of a piping 1, wire supplying mechanism B including a guide cable 13 which is fixed at its front end to the rotary cylinder 9 and feeds the welding wire 3 to the irradiation position of the laser beam 2 emitted from the rotary cylinder 9 and a supporting mechanism C which displaces the rotary cylinder 9 in both of the axial direction of the piping 1 and the circumferential direction thereof and is fixed with the base end of the guide cable 13 is used. The rotating direction of the rotary cylinder 9 is reversed in the case odd number of lines of laser clad layers 19 are formed and the case even numbers of lines of the laser clad layers 19 are formed at the time of forming plural lines of the laser clad layers 19 extending in the circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface 1a of the piping 1 on this inner peripheral surface.
